Have you ever eaten a bowl of pasta and felt heavy afterward? Well I have, and after eating it I feel like I’ve added another roll to my tummy.I love pasta but I didn’t appreciate that feeling. However, that feeling gave me the desire to create a dish that still had the alfredo creaminess to it but without the heaviness that goes along with it. I seem to have accomplished that with this dish.
Nothing goes better with a pizza than cheese sticks. So it was a must to have on the table, if it had made it to my table. As soon as I pulled the bread halves out the oven and sliced them into sticks it was a free for all. I must admit I am also a guilty party. They just taste so good hot and cheesy with the perfect amount of garlic it was hard not to indulge. Don’t judge me.
I call these babies taters because I pop these things in my mouth just like tator tots or popcorn for that matter. They are just a little sophisticated because they have that excellent herb called ROSEMARY that takes your ordinary tator to the next level.
I just recently was introduced to Shrimp and Grits (honestly the idea of those two ingredients together made me a bit nervous). I had never tried them at a restaurant or had any desire, my knowledge of grits was limited to the instant white kind that my mom would make for breakfast. Not to mention I grew up in Alaska
Growing up, cabbage to me was gross. I don’t know about you but whenever my family made cabbage it was always soggy and floating in broth and it stunk up the whole house. To my child-like mind that equaled gross. It wasn’t until I became an adult that I decided it was time to give cabbage another chance.
This sauce can be used on pretty much anything that requires tomato sauce but today we are going to use it as our Pizza Sauce.
Okay let me tell you, every-time I make this sauce I ask myself why didn’t I do this sooner. I never thought making my own pizza sauce would be this easy or quick. Call me late-to-the-party but it’s so easy it’s hard to even call this a recipe.
This recipe is quick, easy, and tastes great! A winner in my book.
We eat pizza a lot!! My husband not so much, but the rest of us at least three times a week. More than the average family. Especially since I got my very own pizza oven that makes pizza in five minutes, we just can’t stop eating the stuff. It’s even become a contest on who makes the prettiest pizza.
